The Story of Tasha and Prestos: Empowering Women to Wear What They Want Without Fear
My name is Tasha, and I’m the proud owner and designer of Prestos Shop. But my story didn’t begin with success or confidence—it began with pain, frustration, and a deep yearning for change. I was raised in a world where I constantly faced the harsh reality that being a woman meant being seen as an object, not a person.
As a child, I never understood why my presence was always met with unwanted attention—why men felt entitled to whistle at me on the street, touch me without permission, or make comments about my body. It wasn’t until I grew older that I realized this behavior was not just a nuisance but a reflection of something much darker: the normalization of misogyny and the idea that women’s bodies are for men to comment on, judge, and control.
I’m 26 now, and I’ve learned that I am more than just a body to be objectified. I’m a human being who deserves respect, autonomy, and the freedom to exist without fear. And as the founder of Prestos Shop, I’m on a mission to change the narrative for women everywhere.
Prestos is more than just a brand; it’s a movement. A movement that stands for strength, love, and solidarity. Our vision is simple: women should be able to wear whatever they want without fear of harassment or unwanted attention. No matter what outfit you choose, no matter how bold or daring it is, you should never have to face inappropriate comments or behavior.
Growing up, I often felt like I had to shrink myself to fit into the mold society created for women. If I wore something that was considered “too revealing,” I was called names. If I wore something too conservative, I was dismissed as boring. No matter what I wore, it seemed like I couldn’t win. The pressure to conform to unrealistic standards of beauty and behavior was suffocating.
But when I launched Prestos Shop, I wanted to create a safe space for women to embrace their individuality, to wear what makes them feel powerful, comfortable, and beautiful—without fear of judgement or harassment. At Prestos, we stand behind every woman who has ever been made to feel small, unwanted, or unsafe because of what she chose to wear. Our clothing isn’t just fabric; it’s a symbol of freedom. Freedom to express yourself without apology, freedom to move through the world confidently, and freedom to be unapologetically yourself.
Now, as the boss of my own company, I am surrounded by a team of strong, talented women who share the same vision. I don’t work with men. I chose to build my business alongside women who understand the struggle, who’ve lived the same experiences, and who want to create a world where women are celebrated, not objectified. Together, we’re building something more than a brand—we’re creating a community of women who lift each other up and support one another through every challenge.
I know there are women out there who have experienced what I’ve been through—who have been catcalled, groped, or simply disrespected because of their appearance. I know what it feels like to be reduced to a body, to feel like your worth is tied to how others perceive you. But I also know that we are stronger than the world gives us credit for. We are powerful, and we deserve better.
At Prestos Shop, we want every woman to know that her voice matters, her body is her own, and her right to wear whatever she chooses is non-negotiable. We stand with you, and we stand for you. Together, we can create a world where women are free to walk the streets, go to work, or attend a party without fear of being violated or objectified.
No woman should have to face harassment because of what she’s wearing. No woman should be afraid to express herself freely.
At Prestos, we’re not just selling clothes; we’re selling empowerment. We’re selling a revolution of love, strength, and mutual support. So, to every woman who has ever felt unsafe, judged, or silenced—this is for you. Wear what you want. Be who you are. You are not alone.
With love,
Tasha
